Contract talks underway at MK Dons

David Martin, Dean Lewington, Ben Reeves, Dean Bowditch, Nicky Maynard and Daniel Powell are among the biggest names to be out-of-contract at the end of the season, with a host of fringe and young players too.
While their deals are up in the summer, Dons have options to keep Chuks Aneke and Darren Potter.

Hide AdAnd with some key players up for renewal, Neilson says talks are already underway with a few to see where their future lies.
"It's really important, if not more than bringing in players," said Neilson. "If I've got quality here, then we have to try and keep it. We'll do as much as we can to try and do that.
"We're working away in the background trying to get things sorted with a few of them because we have to build a nucleus of a team, so when we get to the summer window, we don't have to bring in 10 players, more like four or five.
"So we're constantly looking to build and add. It's hard to bring in 12, 14 players and expecting them to bond straight away."
