NEWPORT Pagnell Town’s season kicks-off this Saturday with a tough trip to Reading Town in the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup.
Should the Swans win the tie, they will then host either Ardley United or Holyport at Willen Road in the preliminary round on August 25.
And should Darren Lynch’s men progress again, a trip to either Wokingham & Emmbrook, Camberley Town or Chalfont St Peter awaits in the first qualifying round on September 8. Winning all three rounds would see the club pocket almost £6,000 in prize money.
Saturday’s clash at Reading Town, who play in the Hellenic League Premier Division, comes a week before the Swans start their United Counties League Premier Division campaign with a trip to Shepshed Dynamo.
The Willen Road side will go into the tie at Reading in good form having gone unbeaten in four pre-season friendly games, including a 7-1 thrashing of Oxford City last week.
The South Midlands League Division One season also kicks-off this Saturday with Stony Stratford Town hosting Southall before New Bradwell St Peter visit Ostlers Lane on Tuesday night.
Wolverton Town make their SML Division Two debut on Saturday, August 18 with a home fixture against Aston Clinton, with Old Bradwell United visiting Pitstone & Ivinghoe and MK Wanderers starting at home to Tring Corinthians.
