North Bucks League: Loughton drop to second place
POTTERSPURY took advantage of Loughton Manor’s break from league action to climb to the top of the Premier Division table by beating Great Linford 2-0.
City Colts remain third after a 2-2 draw with Southcott Village while MK Titans lost 2-1 to Thornborough Athletic and Loughton – two points behind Potterspury – saw off Grendon Rangers 4-1 in the Premier Division Trophy second round.
Woburn Sands Wanderers beat Denbigh Hall Sports 5-2 to stay seven points clear at the top of the Intermediate Division. Elsewhere Bow Brickhill enjoyed a 6-1 win over bottom side Wolverton Town Res, City Colts Res lost 3-1 to Syresham, AFC Santander were beaten 4-2 by Brackley Sports, and Hanslope were 4-0 winners over Deanshanger.
In Division One, Great Linford Res drew 1-1 with Olney and Comet MK made it 13 wins out of 13 in Division Two thanks to a 4-0 success against Padbury Village.
However, Comet remain second in the table behind Great Horwood Res who beat Westbury 3-1. Meanwhile Stantonbury Social Elite saw off Hanslope Res 4-0, Scot Youth were 6-0 winners against Marsh Gibbon Res and MK Wanderers ‘A’ lost 4-0 to Wing Village.
