Aneke could be back on the Dons bench on Friday night
The 24-year-old has been only tentatively used this season in a bid to protect him after two long-term injuries have hampered his career in the last three seasons.
Aneke netted in his first reserve team game against Southend, and after being named on the bench in the first team game against Peterborough then played 65 minutes against their reserves last week.

Boss Robbie Neilson quashed fears of another injury to Aneke, and said he may make the squad to face AFC on Friday.
He said: "We've been pushing Chuks hard and gave him game time last week against Peterborough in a reserves game but he felt he tightened up so we felt it wasn't right to include him on Saturday, and then again on Tuesday against Wycombe.
"He'll do light training on today (Wednesday) and hopefully on the bench on Friday."
