George Baldock’s head injury sums up Dons’ season perfectly, according to manager Karl Robinson.
The 21-year-old was knocked unconscious in Saturday’s game against Rotherham after taking an elbow from team-mate Stephen Gleeson.
Baldock was treated at the New York Stadium, before being taken to hospital, and later released.
“Obviously, his season has come to an abrupt end,” said Robinson. “The whole scenario came when Lee Frecklington slipped into Stephen Gleeson, who well into George. That’s the story of our season!
“I went straight to the hospital after the game, but the scans came back all clear for him to go home. He went to see the doctors on Monday and he’s still not fully clear, but he’s on the mend.”
