PATRICK Bamford has signed a loan deal with MK Dons until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old was on loan from Chelsea during December, but twice went off injured as he struggled for fitness.
The striker made his debut during the 5-1 victory over Colchester and had a hand in three of the goals. He was substituted late in the day, but only made one more appearance for the club as a late change against Walsall on Boxing Day. There though, he pulled up again with hamstring trouble, leaving Dons to battle out the last 10 minutes a man down.
Boss Karl Robinson said: “I am delighted to have Patrick back until the end of the season, he made a really impression on the Football Club in his short time here and I hope he can make a telling impact over the next few months.
“He is a talented footballer who adds great strength in depth to our attacking options and that was our aim in this transfer window.
“He is currently completing his rehab work with Chelsea but we had to act today in order to keep him for the remainder of the season, and we hope he will be with us in the next two weeks.”
