Sheffield United have not made a formal approach for MK Dons boss Karl Robinson despite rumours linking him with a move to Bramall Lane.
The Citizen understands the club have not been contacted by United who are on the lookout for a new manager since the departure of Danny Wilson in April, and that they are confident he will still be at helm at stadium:mk when the season gets underway in August.
Former Dons boss Wilson left Bramall Lane despite leading the team to a play-off spot. And under the caretaker charge of Chris Morgan, the Blades were beaten in the play-off semi-finals by eventual winners Yeovil.
The rumours linking Robinson to the post gathered pace after he revealed he would be speaking to his agent.
United have since made a formal approach for current Motherwell boss Stuart McCall - a former Bramall Lane favourite as a player.
