IT went right down to the wire, but Dons completed the signings of two players on transfer deadline day.
First, centre back Mark Beevers joined on a four-month loan from League 1 rivals Sheffield Wednesday at around 8pm.
Beevers rose through the ranks at Hillsborough and made his debut for the Owls at 17 years-old. He became a first team regular in the Championship but slipped out of favour when Gary Megson took over as manager in February.
Then, right on the 11pm deadline, Dons completed the signing of winger Anthony McNamee from Premier League Norwich City.
Predominantly a left-sided midfielder, 28-year-old McNamee began his career at Watford where he was voted Young Player of the Year.
He spent 18 months at Carrow Road, joining via Swindon, before putting pen to paper with Dons at the 11th hour on Wednesday night.
An added bonus for boss Karl Robinson will be that none of the Sam Baldock transfer kitty was spent on Wednesday, leaving him with a sizable war chest to spend come January should he need to improve the squad further.
