Dons ratings vs Walsall: Dele does it by all himself

Dons ratings vs Walsall.

David Martin - 7 - Left isolated for two of the three, but did brilliantly to stop two one-on-ones.

Dean Lewington - 6 - Caught up field a few times, playing the defence into trouble.

Kyle McFadzean - 6 - Struggled to keep tabs on Tom Bradshaw, who left with a brace.

Antony Kay - 6 - Allowed Walsall in behind too often.

Jordan Spence - 7 - Guilty of playing the ball out, but looked exciting going forward.

Dele Alli - 7 - Wanted the ball all the time, and kept trying until the death. It just didn’t work out for him.

Darren Potter - 5 - After such an excellent spell, nothing went right for him. An own goal and an awful back pass gifted Walsall two goals.

Carl Baker - 5 - Like Potter, had an off day.

Samir Carruthers - 6 - Showed glimpses of excellent, but were too few and far between.

Dean Bowditch - 6 - Wasn’t given much time on the ball. Blocked an Alli chance on the goal-line which may have changed things.

Will Grigg - 6 - Looked like he could make a difference in the first half, but was pretty ineffective in the second.

Subs:

Benik Afobe - 6 - Looked eager, but couldn’t hit the target.

Danny Green - 6 - Made little difference to proceedings.

Daniel Powell - 6 - Game was gone by the time he arrived.
