DONS have confirmed details of a home pre-season friendly with Fulham – their second against Premier League opposition this summer.

Karl Robinson’s men will play host to Martin Jol’s West London outfit at stadium:mk on Tuesday, August 7, four days after the visit of Norwich City on Friday, August 3.

Dons say the friendly fixture was not part of the deal that saw youngster George Williams sign for the Premier League club recently.

Potential Fulham stars who could be on show against Dons include Clint Dempsey – who netted an impressive 17 goals in the top flight last season – and experienced winger Damien Duff, who represented Republic of Ireland at Euro 2012 where he faced eventual finalists Italy and Spain.

This will be Dons’ second home friendly of pre-season and falls only four days before their first competitive fixture against Cheltenham Town in the Capital One Cup on Saturday, August 11.

The two sides have never faced each other before, so this is sure to be a historic encounter and a chance for Robinson’s men to pit their wits against an established Premier League side as they gear up for forthcoming League 1 season.
