Defender Tom Flanagan has joined Stevenage on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old agreed the switch to Lamex Stadium on Tuesday and has joined Graham Westley’s men for the remainder of the 2013/14 campaign.

Flanagan went straight into the Boro squad for their Sky Bet League 1 clash with Coventry on Wednesday night, a game they lost 1-0.

The former Northern Ireland Under-21 centre-back, who recently penned a new one-year deal at Dons, has been just limited to just six appearances this season.

Speaking to mkdons.com, Dons manager Karl Robinson said: “With his contract sorted, this move gives Tom the opportunity to go out and earn some valuable match experience at League 1 level.”
