Dons defender Tom Flanagan has left the club on loan for the second time this season, joining Barnet’s fight to avoid relegation from League 2.
The 21-year-old spent the first half of the season with Martin Allen’s Gillingham and his impressive performances even earned him a call-up to the Northern Ireland U21 squad.
However, upon return to the Gills, the towering centre-half suffered a broken fifth metatarsal which sidelined him for eight weeks.
Since recovering, the former Dons Academy graduate has been named on the substitutes’ bench but has found it hard to break into Karl Robinson’s starting XI and has not featured for the club his season.
Flanagan will be available for Edgar Davids’ men this Saturday when they travel to Accrington Stanley.
