Injured winger Rob Hall is set to turn his back on MK Dons and sign for Oxford United.

The 22-year-old spent the last 18 months on loan at stadium:mk from Bolton Wanderers and was understood to have verbally agreed to sign for Karl Robinson’s side this summer after being released from the Macron Stadium.

Having helped in the promotion winning season in 2014/15, Hall was signed on a season-long loan from Bolton for Dons’ first season in the Championship. He made 32 appearances before rupturing his cruciate ligament in training in March.

Hall has been receiving treatment from Dons’ medical staff Simon Crampton and Adam Ross throughout the summer, having agreed in principal to remain at stadium:mk next season.

However, the Citizen understands he will sign a two-year deal at the Kassam Stadium later this week.
