HEAD-TO-HEAD: Can Dons conquer Cobblers to make it three in a row?

Their remarkable run at the end of the 2014/15 season saw them win nine of their remaining 10 games, including five in a row, to secure promotion to the Championship. However since then, they've been unable to string three wins together.

But Robbie Neilson's side come into the encounter having picked up nine points from a possible 12, with back-to-back wins against Rochdale and AFC Wimbledon heading into the local derby at Stadium MK on Tuesday night.

The Cobblers, under new boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, will be out to spoil the party and to achieve something they've never done - pick up a win Milton Keynes. Hasselbaink's reign at Sixfields, only five games old, started well with two wins, but a draw and two straight defeats see them languishing in 20th place in League 1, six points back of Dons.

"Winning two in a row is fantastic but winning three, or maybe four would be great," said Neilson. "But you in this league you have to make sure you go into games in the right frame of mind or you'll easily get turned over."

"It should be a good game. I went to watch them on Saturday and they were unlucky not to get anything from the game against Bradford.

"Jimmy has come in and changed things a bit, they've got a good energy about them, they're trying to get after it and it should be a good challenge for us. I think they're turning it around already. While they didn't get the result on Saturday, they've definitely picked up recently."

Dons could come up against some familiar faces on Tuesday night too - Dean Bowditch, Daniel Powell, Chris Long and Alex Revell have all featured under Hasselbaink since he took over.

Hasselbaink said of Dons: "It's not going to be an easy one, another one. They're a good playing side who want to pass the ball and they give you trouble in midfield. They overload the midfield and they're a good team. They won 2-0 on Friday and it'll be tough for us but we'll have a go and we'll try to win."

When the sides last met, Dons came out on top 5-3, with Chuks Aneke bagging a brace, while debutant Harvey Barnes scored within minutes of coming off the bench.
