Manchester United boss said MK Dons had a little bit of luck in the 4-0 destruction of his side on Tuesday night.

The Dutch manager, who took over at Old Trafford in the summer, is yet to win a competitive match in English football, having lost to Swansea City on the opening day of the season, and drawing with Sunderland on Sunday.

But he admitted while he wasn’t shocked at the defeat, he felt Dons had lady luck on their side.

He said: “We had nine injuries and we had to play within 48 hours (of last game). I had to look to the second team.

“Of course I’m disappointed, but I’m not shocked. Milton Keynes played very well, very aggressively. They had a little bit of luck with their goals also.”
