Part 7: April 23, 2016 - MK Dons 1-4 Brentford

Read the match report hee: MK Dons 1-4 BrentfordIt was to be the final nail in the coffin for MK Dons. Knowing only a win and one of five others to lose would send them into the final week wit ha fighting chance, Dons went out with a wimper rather than a bang.

Nicky Maynard fired Dons into a sixth minute lead, but their enjoyment would last only three more minutes. Sergi Canos scored a wonderstrike to bring the Bees back on level ground, but the second half would tell a different story.

Cody Cropper and Joe Walsh were unable to make the second 45 minutes, and the patchwork Dons side were thumped by a Brentford side barely needing to get out of second gear.

While Josh Murphy was a constant thorn in their side, goals from Lasse Vibe, Ryan Woods and Jake Bidwell sent Dons back to League 1 with their tail between their legs.
