It looks set to be a long night for Karl Robinson and his MK Dons backroom staff as they set out their stalls for some last minute manoeuvring on transfer deadline day.

With fans glued to their TV and Twitter accounts for the latest news, an unnerving silence has emanated from stadium:mk today.

However, there may yet be some additional faces to bolster Robinson’s squad, while others may be making way to free up additional funds.

After the 5-1 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday night, Robinson admitted there were no immediate transfer targets on his radar but said he was expecting a long shift on deadline day in a bid to strengthen his side, who side 20th in the Championship.

Rewind 12 months and Robinson was facing a different kind of deal on deadline day as he vied for the best price for teenage sensation Dele Alli, who completed his move to Tottenham for around £5 million by the time the window shut.
