Player ratings Vs QPR: Kay leads defence and Dons into the fifth round

editorial image

David Martin - 7 - Kept Dons in the game in the early running, making some fine stops from Mackie and Faurlin. Might be disappointed to let in two late goals though.

Dean Lewington - 7 - Didn’t seem to know if the opener had crept in, but it certainly counted. Kept close tabs on former team-mate Mackie.

Jon Otsemobor - 7 - Defended solidly and looked comfortable. Even got to join in with some attacks later in the game.

Gary MacKenzie - 7 - Unfortunate to limp off after 20 minutes but looked solid.

Antony Kay - 8 - Marshalled the back four brilliantly. Invincible in the air, and kept Bothroyd invisible throughout.

Darren Potter - 8 - Pulled all the strings in midfield and his influence couldn’t be contained by the Rangers midfield.

Shaun Williams - 8 - Good in midfield, but shifted back to defence when MacKenzie went off. Cool, calm and collected as ever.

Alan Smith - 7 - Bullish display as ever, powerful, strong. An experienced performance.

Dean Bowditch - 7 - Didn’t see much of the ball, but looked dangerous when he did. Enjoyed a lot of space, but would have liked a goal from his two decent chances.

Adam Chicksen - 7 - Like Bowditch, didn’t get on the ball much in the first half. Inspired in the second though, keen to go and make a name for himself.

Ryan Lowe - 8 - Looked like it was going to be a lonely afternoon for him until he scored. Set up the third, and pulled the defence all overthe shop.

Subs:

Ryan Harley - 7 - An accomplished display, being thrown in after time out injured. Took his goal well, and added a bit more muscle in the middle.

Chris Lines - 6 - A late introduction but showed good strength in the centre.

Dele Alli - Not on long enough to have an impact, but what an experience for the teenager.

Top Don: Antony Kay
