Player Ratings vs Scunthorpe: Strong Doumbe performance not enough for Dons

editorial image

Ian McLoughlin - 7 - Not really much he could have done with the goal, but made some decent saves.

Shaun Williams - 7- Adapted to left back well again, but caught out to allow Duffy space to cross for the goal.

Jon Otsemobor - 7 - Attacked well, but was sacrificed in the second half for attacking options,

Antony Kay - 7 - Untroubled for most of the game.

Mathias Doumbe - 8 - Like Kay, didn’t have much to do, but forced Slocombe into a vital stop at the other end.

Darren Potter - 6 - Tried to make things happen in the second half, but didn’t see too much of the ball.

Stephen Gleeson - 7 - Sat back as Otsemobor went off, but mopped up at the back well. Had a decent effort just wide too.

Luke Chadwick - 6 - Looked troublesome in the first half, but lacked his usual spark in the second.

Dean Bowditch - 7 - As ever, was up and down both flanks with little rewards.

Daniel Powell - 6 - Struggled to make an impact, a few promising breaks aside.

Patrick Bamford - 6 - Had Dons’ best chance, but was inches away from Lowe’s cross.

Subs: Ryan Lowe - 7 - Full of running, and teed one up brilliantly for Bamford.

Izale McLeod - Late chance with little impact

Chris Lines - Too late to make a difference

Top Don: Mathias Doumbe
