Player ratings vs Shrewsbury: Ben Reeves on form again

Player ratings vs Shrewsbury:

David Martin - 7 - Needed to be alert to the threat at the end, but otherwise a spectator for the most part.

Dean Lewington - 7 - An attacking threat more than a defensive requirement. His header set up Long’s goal.

George Baldock - 7 - Like Lewington, his full-back roll saw him far more advanced. Ever a threat on the right flank.

Antony Kay - 8 - Strong in the air and on the ground, another fine showing.

Shaun Williams - 6 - A shaky first half, where he looked nervous and off the pace. Improved in the second half.

Darren Potter - 6 - A tough game to dictate on a bobbling pitch.

Stephen Gleeson - 8 - Bullied the midfield and dragged Dons forwards at times. Vital challenges at both ends, and set up Alli’s opener.

Dele Alli - 8 - Another fantastic showing from the 17-year-old. Fantastic touch with a glimmer of arrogance. And a well taken header for his afternoons work.

Samir Carruthers - 7 - Pulled the Shrewsbury midfield all over the pitch as he rolled and rotated with Reeves and Alli.

Ben Reeves - 8 - Another top drawer display. Doesn’t mind doing the dirty stuff as well.

Chris Long - 7 - An impressive debut, topped off with a goal.

Daniel Powell - 6 - Didn’t see much of the ball.

Dean Bowditch - 7 - Reminded everyone what they’ve been missing with a goal.

Izale McLeod - Didn’t have much of an impact late in the day.
