Have your say

Martin 7 - made a few good saves from Gray, but will be disappointed to have conceded from an initial shot he parried away.

Lewington- 7 - no-nonsense defending again from the skipper. Made his presence known early in the game with a crunching challenge on Byfield.

Woodards - 7 - had a meal on his hands trying to contain Gray, but offered him little more than scraps on the right flank.

MacKenzie - 7 - wasn’t often called into action but offered Walsall’s attackers nothing in the air.

Doumbe - 7 - restricted the Walsall attackers to striking from range.

Leven - 7 - cheeky penalty almost came unstuck, but there was enough on it to cross the line. His set pieces proved troublesome for the Walsall defence.

Gleeson - 7 - another industrious performance in the engine room.

Powell - 8 - looked most likely to score for the home side in the first half. Created chances for others, while getting into the right positions to be set up for chances of his own.

Chadwick - 8 -the energetic midfielder tried to take the game to Walsall, and was downed for the penalty after a mazing run.

Vine - 7 - linked up brilliantly with Powell in the first half to create a number of chances.

Baldock - 6 - didn’t quite click for the forward on the night. Wasted a few good chances, but didn’t show any of his usual sharpness.

Subs: Balanta - 6 - returned after nearly five months out and still needs match fitness. But there are no excuses for his glaring miss which hit the underside of the bar.

Ibehre - 6 - had a couple of chances but picked up a silly booking late in the game.

Top Don - Powell - the youngster stood out among the rest, particularly in the first half. Unpredictable, powerful and pacey, he had the full back in his pocket for most of the game.
