Player ratings vs Wolves: Gleeson makes a strong return to former club

Player ratings vs Wolves

David Martin - 7 - Made some key saves in his first full match back.

Dean Lewington - 7 - Great leadership and held firm during the Wolves enslaught.

Lee Hodson - 8 - Under pressure for most of the game, but was excellent in defence and in attack.

Shaun Williams - 7 - Dealt with the threat of Kevin Doyle well, but his stand-out moment in intercepting the ball just before half time from Leigh Griffiths’ toe.

Jordan Spence - 7 - No nonsense from the centre half. Won most things in the air.

Darren Potter - 7 - Looks like he’s getting back to decent form. A calm head in a frantic midfield.

Stephen Gleeson - 8 - Didn’t look put off on his return to his former club. Covered every blade of grass.

Ben Reeves - 8 - Spectacular goal, making the role in behind the striker his own.

Samir Carruthers - 7 - After a few misplaced passes, found his feet and slid in Bamford for the opener.

Dale Jennings - 6 - Clearly still lacking fitness, didn’t have much influence on proceedings.

Patrick Bamford - 7 - Held it up well, got involved and saw a lot of the ball. Only needed one sight of goal to net the opener.

George Baldock - 7 - Got involved, made a nuisance of himself.

Alan Smith - 6 - Added some muscle late on.

Brendan Galloway - Too late to make an impact.
