Player ratings Vs Yeovil Town: Williams battles the long balls

editorial image

David Martin - 6 - Horrible conditions to keep goal in, but probably should have come out to deal with Dolan’s cross before Madden headed it home

Dean Lewington - 6 - Like the rest of the defenders, had to mop up a lot of long balls, which he did on the whole fairly well.

Jon Otsemobor - 6 - Like Lewington, dealt with long balls fairly well, but was sacrificed late on for Smith to play up front.

Antony Kay - 5 - Looked solid again, netting the equaliser. But could now face a lenghty ban for another sending off.

Shaun Williams - 7 - Tough conditions made it a long evening for the centre back, but he headed away countless Yeovil long balls and chased long, arduous yards towards his own goal.

Darren Potter - 6 - Looked uneasy on the bobbling pitch. First touch eluded him too often, and couldn’t play much along the ground.

Ryan Harley - 6 - Was strong, and looked keen for a big of a tackle-fest in the centre. Probably should have knocked Dons into the lead but took too much time picking his spot.

Adam Chicksen - 6 - Another quiet night for the winger. Struggled with the ball along the floor because of the poor pitch.

Dean Bowditch - 6 - Struggled to make an impact on his return to his former club.

Ryan Lowe - 6 - Taken off after half an hour with an eye injury.

Izale McLeod - 6 - Will be disappointed not to have netted one of his two decent chances.

Subs:

Chris Lines - 7 - Thrown in a little earlier than expected, but looked strong and eager to get on the ball

Mathias Doumbe - 6 - Slotted in nicely to replace the sent off Kay.

Alan Smith - A late change to add some attacking muscle.
