Lee Nicholls' saved a penalty

Lee Nicholls - 9 - Barely touched the ball in the first half, but his contribution in the second saw his side to victory. Two terrific saves and a penalty denial ensured his side took all three points.

Callum Brittain - 7 - Had a great ding-dong battle with the tricky Barcham in the first half, but kept him very quiet in the second.

George Williams - 8 - Started slowly against Appiah, but after the striker's injury, kept the ordinarily lively Cody McDonald wrapped up.

Scott Wootton - 8 - Wasn't afraid to clear long, won his aerial battles, marshalled the defence.

Scott Golbourne - 7 - Had his hands full with Lyle Taylor, and those hands were adjudged to have touched the ball to give away the penalty in harsh fashion.

Ouss Cisse - 7 - Was in the right place at the right time in the latter stages, added good defensive nous in the second half.

Aaron Tshibola - 6 - Still seemed to be letting the game pass him by, ball watching and wasn't much of an attacking presence.

Alex Gilbey - 7 - Probably his quietest game since signing, but did the dirty work.

Gboly Ariyibi - 8 - His manager demanded more in the defensive third, and he got it. Helped Brittain deal with Barcham, but was on hand to bend in the second too.

Ryan Seager - 7 - Ran himself into the ground, and though he didn't put in the opener, made the right runs to force the defender to convert for him.

Osman Sow - 8 - The target man Dons have been missing. Great hold up play, chased everything, showed a surprising turn of pace and played a key role in the opener.

Subs:

Robbie Muirhead - 7 - Employed with the role of chasing down the AFC defence, and was unlucky not to add a third after a great save from Long.

Kieran Agard - 7 - Used to chase and shut down high up the field.

Ethan Ebanks-Landell - A late change, returning after injury.
