Dons ratings vs Birmingham City:

David Martin - 7 - A few good saves in the first half, but little he could do about the goal.

Dean Lewington - 5 - Outpaced and outplayed by the lively Viv Solomon-Otabor, and later Damarai Gray.

Joe Walsh - 7 - Great return to the side after a long time out. Mopped up very well before coming off.

Kyle McFadzean - 6 - Enjoyed a physical battle with Clayton Donaldson, though let him slip away. Fortunately, Donaldson hit the bar.

Jordan Spence - 6 - Looked less eager to go forwards than in previous games.

Diego Poyet - 6 - Solid if unspectacular.

Samir Carruthers - 8 - Heart on his sleeve again, covered every blade for Dons. Great in the tackle too.

Daniel Powell - 6 - Hamstring trouble limited him to 31 minutes.

Dean Bowditch - 4 - Made no impression whatsoever.

Carl Baker - 5 - Came alive when shifted to right back. Patchy before that.

Sam Gallagher - 7 - Played pretty well considering he had nothing to work with. Promising return.

Subs:

Josh Murphy - 7 - As ever, Dons’ liveliest outlet, but couldn’t do it alone.

Nicky Maynard - 6 - Replaced Gallagher, and had just as tough a time with no service.

Ben Reeves - 5 - Left little impression.
