REPORT: MK Dons 1-0 Coventry City: O'Keefe sinks lowly Coventry

The on-loan Cardiff midfielder had the best chance of the first half too when his volley was well saved by Lee Burge in the Coventry net, but he made no mistakes with his second attempt, finding the top corner just five minutes into the second period to secure all three points for Robbie Neilson's side.

After the disappointing midweek defeat at AFC Wimbledon, Robbie Neilson made three changes to his side. Dean Lewington and George Baldock returned from suspension, replacing Ben Tilney and Paul Downing. Ben Reeves also returned to the starting 11, with Darren Potter dropping back to the bench. Nicky Maynard didn't make the squad.

The opening half hour flattered to decieve for the home side. Never really in trouble, Dons saw a lot of the ball but they struggled to make any real inroads against the league's bottom club. Lee Burge in the Coventry net was the busier of the two, denying long range efforts from George Williams, Ben Reeves and Stuart O'Keefe, but Kieran Agard was having little impact on the two big Coventry centre backs.

He convinced half the stadium he'd opened the scoring seven minutes before the break though when he got a toe to Williams' flick, but his effort rippled the wrong side of the net.

But the nervous mumbles at half time were eased five minutes after the restart as Dons took the lead. Harvey Barnes had driven a low effort just wide of the post before O'Keefe buried one in the top corner, capitalising on Reeves' half-cleared corner, leaving Burge with no chance.

Having barely made an impact on proceedings, Coventry showed some fight after going a goal behind. Callum Reilly fizzed an effort through a crowd of players and just over the top of David Martin's bar, before the keeper made a magnificent save to deny Ruben Lameiras' volley at the near post.

But as Dons rode out the storm, they cruised to the final whistle, climbing to 16th in the table.
