Things just keep getting better for Dele Alli as he was revealed as one of the nominees for the League 1 Player of the Month for January.

On Monday, the teenager secured a lucrative move to the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur, having played his part in the 5-0 drubbing of Crewe Alexandra on Saturday.

Last month, Alli scored goals against Barnsley and the vital stoppage time equaliser against Crawley Town, while dragging Dons to a point away at Scunthorpe.

The 18-year-old will face competition from Doncaster’s Andy Butler, Colchester defender Tom Eastman and Scunthorpe front man Tom Hopper, who scored against Dons at Glanford Park last week.

He will await Friday’s announcement of the winners, along with manager Karl Robinson, who has been nominate for Manager of the Month for the third month in row.

Dons went undefeated in January, and were top of the league for 24 hours on Saturday, following their win at the Alexandra Stadium.

Robinson takes on Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill, Rochdale’s Keith Hill and Oldham boss Lee Johnson.

The winners will be announced on Friday.
