Robbo confirms McLeod talks and Harley loan
IZALE McLeod is in talks with MK Dons about a return to the club, Karl Robinson has confirmed.
Just hours after his departure from Portsmouth was announced, the Dons boss has swooped to sign the free agent, who is still the club’s all-time leading scorer with 54 goals.
McLeod’s career has stuttered since he left Milton Keynes in 2007 for Charlton for £1.1 million. After a promising start at The Valley, he suffered a knee injury which kept him sidelined for almost a year. Since then, he spent time on loan at Colchester, Millwall and Peterborough before rejuvenating his career at Barnet.
This season, he plied his trade for Portsmouth, making 24 appearances and scoring 10 times, including a strike at stadium:mk in the 2-2 draw in October.
Dons have also confirmed that Ryan Harley will sign on loan until the end of the season.
Harley, who joins from Championship club, will officially become an MK Dons player when the transfer window opens on New Year’s Day, and will be available for the trip to Notts County.
