Karl Robinson felt ‘hurt and disrespected’ by reports linking him to jobs away from stadium:mk.
The Dons boss was heavily linked to the hotseat at Sheffield United before David Weir was eventually announced as manager earlier this week.
Robinson believes his comments about speaking to his agent were taken out of context, and is becoming increasingly frustrated at having to restate his desire to stay in Milton Keynes.
He did admit though, that a club made an approach for him while he was away on holiday - a bid he turned away before it was revealed publicly.
“Every job I’m linked to, it feels like I have to come out and repeat myself,” he said speaking from Spain. “I was made favourite to become manager of one club while I was sitting in the pool with my daughter.
“There was an offer made for me, but we agreed to reject it.
“I think the comments I made about speaking to my agent were taken out of context, which I was upset about, and it led to a lot of unfair comments being made about me, which I thought were really disrespectful.
“I meet with my agent every year to talk about the last 12 months, what I did right, what I did wrong. He puts me back on the straight and narrow.
“My family are settled in Milton Keynes, we have no plans on leaving.”
