KARL Robinson was left purring with his side’s performance after MK Dons turned on the style to beat Bury 4-1 and go fourth in League 1.
Dean Bowditch was the hat-trick hero, but Dons’ first away league win of the season came through a fantastic all-round team display, with Luke Chadwick putting the icing on the cake after Lenell John-Lewis scored a consolation for the Shakers.
Robinson said it was good to produce such a confident performance, even if it was against a Bury side sat bottom of the table with only three points to their name.
“People point fingers at Bury and where they are in the league, but they almost won at Bramall Lane last week,” he said.
“But our players were magnificent – the way they passed and moved the ball was magnificent. We took the lead and went from strength to strength.
“I hesitated about whether to play Bowds or Daniel Powell, but we have some fantastic players, and I thought Luke Chadwick was magnificent.
“I thought all the goals were very good. The subs who came on were excellent. The players really did shine today.”
