After another defeat at home on Sunday, this time going down 1-0 to Port Vale, which saw Dons dominate but come out on the losing side, Robinson admits he doesn’t know what else he can do to change their fortunes.

“If there are any witch doctors in Milton Keynes, call me!” he said.

“The performances are brilliant,we’re just not getting the luck.

“We love playing at Stadium MK, but I don’t know what we can do to turn it around.”

A calamitous penalty given away by Dean Lewington gifted Vale with their only real chance of the game, before parking the bus to deny Dons for the remainder of the game.

Robinson said: “Other than taking our chances more, I don’t know what else I can do.

“How can we stop their chances? Port Vale didn’t have any. How can we create chances? We had loads.

“It’s hard. We do sessions of 10 vs 8, and the 10 won’t score for half an hour.

“If we’re looking for areas we can improve, we have to be more ruthless, maybe we can get the ball in earlier, we commit more numbers.

“But we’re doing the same as when we scored 100 goals at this level.”
