Karl Robinson will have to summon his inner Del Boy this January if MK Dons are to
recruit well during the
 transfer window.

With money notoriously tight at stadium:mk, Robinson won’t be given any cash to splash next month.

While his side are stuttering at the wrong end of the Championship table, Robinson knows those around Dons will likely spend big when the window reopens on January 1.

And though next year he will be no millionaire with little to no money to spend, he knows he will have to make room in his own squad before he can bring in new players.

“There will be wheeling and dealing though, I’m going to have to be like Del Boy!

“I’d have to get rid of people to get people in,” said Robinson. “I think we’ll have the manoeuvre. We’ll have to do it in the best possible way.

“I don’t think we’ll go into the market and spend money. Why? It might not work, it’ll be a commitment and then the club’s in a much more difficult position.

“We need three or four players in January. I know in which areas too, and I know which players I want. They’ll need to come into the squad first.

“I had a great chat with the chairman, he is so supportive. Sometimes, that’s more important than pound signs.”
