Spence: Forget what Posh are doing

Jordan Spence believes MK Dons need to concentrate on winning their own games and stop worrying about Peterborough in the race for the play-offs.

Both sides lost on Tuesday evening leaving the Dons three points off of sixth placed Posh, who do have a game in hand.

But Spence, 23, says he doesn’t take any notice of other results because if the Dons don’t win then they won’t end up in the play-offs anyway.

He said: “The play-off hunt rumbles on, for me personally I try not to concern myself with what anybody else does. If we take care of our own business then everything else will take care of itself.

“That’s very much my attitude towards it, if they win, if they don’t, then we can keep going, but at the end of the day if we don’t win home games we won’t get there anyway.

“We need to take care of our business at home, we could have came here on Tuesday and won, but Gillingham could have won as well, I would have felt better about it though.

“We concentrate on what we can control and see where it takes us, but we know if we’re going to get there we need to get on a good run of form because we’re chasing.”
