Defender Jordan Spence has signed for MK Dons on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old from West Ham played 12 games for Dons between October and early January, scoring one goal.
Originally signed as cover for the injured Antony Kay, he returned to West Ham when his loan deal expired.
But in the aftermath of Shaun Williams’ departure to Millwall on Monday, Spence has been drafted in once again by manager Karl Robinson to fill in at the heart of Dons’ defence.
Robinson said: “It’s great to have Jordan back. He was the man we wanted to replace Shaun Williams and we tried to get this deal done earlier in the week but certain aspects held it back.
“Jordan is a talented young defender and he was part of our back four which kept five clean-sheets over Christmas. We’re hopeful he can form a good partnership with Antony Kay and help to sure-up a defence which has conceded an awful lot of goals in recent weeks.”
