AFC SANTANDER moved closer to New City Heating Premier Division leaders Willen thanks to a narrow win over Olney Town.

The bankers were victorious with the only goal of the game, moving them to within three points of Willen who had the weekend off. However, with Santander in cup action this Sunday, Willen can extend their lead back to six points if they maintain their 100 per cent start to the season by beating AFC Padbury.

Elsewhere, two Matt Fisher goals were enough to give Wolvy Town the points against Stoke Hammond, lifting them to third place, while champions Stony Stratford were awarded the match against Padbury who were unable to raise a side.

In Division One, Coachmakers Arms maintained their 100 per cent with a 5-2 victory over New City Saints. With five wins out of five they stay three points ahead of New Bradwell who kept the pressure with a 4-2 victory over FC MMIX.

Buckingham United defeated inconsistent Stanton Manor 4-1, while Punjab United continued their fine run with a 6-3 victory against Open University. The other game in the second tier saw Stantonbury Social Elite pick up their first victory of the season with a 5-1 success over MK United.

In Division Two, Inter Faith thrashed Stacey Bushes 8-1 to maintain top spot with four wins out of four. RJ Fitness are three points behind them after also netting eight goals against struggling Santander B, for the loss of two. Bletchley Wanderers and IDW both had 2-1 wins over Southcott and Swanfica respectively.
