COUNTY Cup fixtures were the order of the day for most New City Heading Premier Division sides, with mixed fortunes.
In the Berks & Bucks Sunday Intermediate Cup second round, AFC Padbury crashed 5-0 to Magpies 91, Olney Town were beaten 3-0 by Bucks (Aylesbury), Stoke Hammond were hammered 7-0 by Stewkley and Stony Stratford lost by the odd goal in seven to Milton Keynes 87, who play in the Leighton Buzzard league.
In the Sunday Junior Trophy, Bletchley Wanderers were 5-4 penalty shootout winners against IDW after a 2-2 draw, Inter Faith saw off Dinamo Chequers 3-0, RJ Fitness beat Old Belmont Pugilists 5-2 and Swanfica thrashed Queens Head (Chesham) 6-0.
The only game to be played in the Premier Division saw a 3-2 win for Wolvy Town against AFC Santander ‘A’.
Division One leaders Coachmakers Arms dropped two points in a 1-1 draw with Punjab United but remain top, while MK United beat Buckingham United 3-2, New City Saints were 3-1 winners over Stantonbury Social Elite, Open University beat New Bradwell 3-2 and Stanton Manor went down 3-2 to FC MMIX.
