Comet MK won the Division Two title in dramatic fashion on Tuesday night when they hit back from 3-1 down to beat rivals Scot 4-3.
Two big wins in the space of a couple of days had set Comet up perfectly for their crunch clash with Scot – the second in a fortnight after their first meeting was abandoned due to crowd trouble.
A 6-1 win at Stantonbury Social Elite last Thursday was followed by a 5-1 win against Twyford United on Saturday as Comet continued to end the season in great form.
And they finally managed to win the title thanks to a late winner from Chris Pendry on Tuesday night. Neil Walton (2) and Mark Summerlin scored their earlier goals.
City Colts recorded a 2-0 Premier Division victory over Silverstone – two days after winning the Interdivisional Trophy with a 4-0 beating of Potterspury last week.
Bow Brickhill picked up a 2-1 win at Grendon Rangers in the Intermediate Division, while in Division One, Olney Town lost 3-1 to Wicken Sports Res and Cage Athletic fell 6-2 to University of Buckingham. In Division Two, St George’s beat Stantonbury 4-1.
Last midweek’s results saw a 7-0 success for Intermediate Division champions Woburn Sands against Brackley Sports Res, while Bow Brickhill lost 4-1 to Buckingham Town Res and AFC Santander were held to a 1-1 draw by Deanshanger.

In Division One, Olney had a 1-1 draw with Deanshanger Res and Woughton were 6-3 winners at Stewkley, while St George’s beat Wing Village 2-0 in Division Two.
