Loughton Manor will take on City Colts in the final of the Premier Division Trophy after the two Milton Keynes teams safely won through their respective last four ties.
Loughton, still in with an outside chance of winning the league title, saw off mid-table Thornborough Athletic 2-0, while Colts – themselves not yet totally out of the Premier race – thumped bottom side Yardley Gobion 4-1 to secure their final spot.
Meanwhile the title fight took another twist as leaders Great Horwood only managed a 2-2 draw at Brackley Sports, meaning Manor are just three points behind, albeit having played a game more.
With games still in hand, the only other side who look likely to launch a late charge are Potterspury after their 4-3 beating of MK Titans.
Elsewhere Great Linford weren’t at the races when they fell 2-1 at lowly Silverstone.
It’s a clear two-horse race at the top of the Intermediate Division, with Woburn Sands Wanderers and Buckingham Town Res separated by three points.
Woburn had trailed by just one point before their slip up against Syresham, drawing 1-1 as Buckingham got the better of Potterspury Res 3-1.
Meanwhile City Colts Res had a 4-0 win over Hanslope, Bow Brickhill were held 1-1 at Deanshanger and Wolverton Town Res were 1-0 winners over Denbigh Hall Sports.
AFC Santander edged past Brackley Sports Res 3-2 after extra time to reach the final of the Intermediate Division Trophy.
Bow Brickhill Res cruised past Olney in a 5-0 win to move another step closer to making sure of the Division One title.
Great Linford Res drew 2-2 with Stewkley Res, Woughton were on the end of a 4-2 defeat to Wicken and Cage Athletic had a 1-0 win at Syresham Res.
In Division Two there were wins for Great Horwood Res, Comet MK and MK Wanderers ‘A’. Stantonbury Social went down 2-0 to Twyford United.
