Newport Pagnell Town ended their season in 16th place after a 2-1 defeat to Wisbech Town on the final day of the season.
Swans’ three match unbeaten run, which helped them avoid relegation from UCL Premier Division two weeks ago, but there was a chance of climbing to 15th still at stake come the final day.
Wisbech took the lead in the first half, and doubled it in the second before Matt Broomes pulled one back for the home side.
It meant that despite Northampton Sileby Rangers 3-2 defeat to Huntingdon, Newport remained 16th in the standings - a stark contrast to the seventh place finish they achieved 12 months ago.
