Newport Pagnell Town made a huge leap up the UCL Premier Division with back-to-back victories.
Six vital points have seen Swans leap up to eighth in the standings, starting with a 3-2 win over Desborough Town on Saturday at Willen Road.
After finding themselves 2-0 down after just 11 minutes, the home side rallied and pulled a goal back on 22 minutes through Josh Crawley.
But it wasn’t until a second half brace from Dom Lawless, with goals in the 73rd and 84th minutes, that Newport could breathe easier, taking all three points at the death.
But it was almost a role-reversal on Tuesday night when Town travelled to take on Northampton Sileby Rangers.
Jared Cunniff fired Swans into the lead after 34 minutes with a beautiful strike, before skipper John Thorpe doubled the lead five minutes later.
Sileby pulled one back within 60 seconds to make it 2-1 at half time.
Lawless again popped up with a second half brace, making it a comfortable 4-1 to the visitors.
The home side reduced the deficit to two with 10 minutes to go, and then pulled another back in stoppage time to make for a nervy few minutes at the end, but Swans held on to secure two wins in three days, launching them up to eighth in the table.
New Bradwell St Peter are into the third round of the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup after beating Haddenham United 3-2, as are Olney Town after a convincing 4-2 win over Hale Leys United. But the campaign came to an end for Willen, who lost 1-0 to Buckingham, Stony Stratford after losing 2-0 to Pitstone & Ivinghoe and Mursley United after going down 3-0 to Winslow.
