Newport Pagnell Town got their revenge on Boston Town with a late goal of their own to snatch a 1-1 draw.

After conceding late against Boston just seven days earlier, roles were reversed at Willen Road.

The Swans had most of the control through out the game a created some good chances in the first and second half and should have taken the lead.

James Playford opened the scoring for the visitors in the 68th minute in a rare attack for Boston.

But with five minutes to go, Keith Williams popped up in the right place to claim Newport’s equaliser.

Division 1

Olney Town have had a frustrating week, with two games postponed.

On Saturday, their Division 1 fixture away at Bourne Town was called off, as was their Tuesday night home game against Northampton Spencer.

Stony Stratford Town climbed to 15th in Division 1 with a 5-1 hammering of bottom club Winslow United.

Division 2

Mursley United travelled to Greenford in West London on Saturday and came away with a 1-1 draw with Ealing Town.

The visitors had some traffic problems and captain Steve Mooney arrived just before kick-off, having to go straight onto the pitch without a proper warm-up.

Mursley were sharp in the opening exchanges and both Sam Folland and Kevin Goodluck had chances, but both efforts cleared the bar. The hosts started to look dangerous on the counter-attack and, after 20 minutes, they were awarded a penalty in odd circumstances.

A through ball saw centre forward, Rocco, keeper Luke Purnell and Charlie Attwell converging; Attwell took the ball away from the diving keeper and retained control as Rocco continued his run and fell over the now prone Purnell with Attwell and the ball some five yards away.

The referee following some twenty yards behind the action pointed straight to the spot. Rocco took the kick sending Purnell the wrong way and the home side were 1-0 up.

A continued effort by Mursley up to the break found them up against a solid Ealing defence and they went in still behind.

The hosts started the second period more brightly and had a couple of shots which Purnell saved comfortably.

Mursley continued to press and Robin Tucker had a header scrambled away at a corner and a Jack Ash free kick from nineteen yards hit the wall and looped over the bar with the keeper looking on.

With 20 minutes remaining, Mursley won a penalty of their own as James Wardell was brought down as he looked to get past the full back.

It was Goodluck who took responsibility and his shot nestled in the corner of the net with the keeper barely moving.

With two minutes remaining, Ash got away on the left and his floated cross found Goodluck free on the penalty spot, but he sent his effort wide.
