Newport Pagnell Town slipped to seventh in the UCL Premier Division after losing on Tuesday night to Eynesbury Rovers.
Tom Coles’ 22nd minute strike for the home side was enough to separate the two sides, as Newport fell to their second defeat of the season.
Their start has been a positive one though. After losing on opening day, Swans went three unbeaten, with a draw and back-to-back victories - the most recent of which came on Saturday as Darren Lynch’s men beat Yaxley 2-0 at Willen Road.
Next up for Newport is a home game with Bugbrooke St Michaels in the FA Vase.
In UCL Division 1, Olney Town couldn’t follow up Saturday’s victory with another on Tuesday night.
Having beaten Raunds 2-1 at the weekend, Town lost 2-0 to Northampton Spencer and find themselves ninth in the table.
In Spartan South Midlands Division 1, Stony Stratford Town suffered back-to-back defeats, after losing 3-2 on Saturday to Langford, and then 4-1 in the local derby with Buckingham Athletic on Tuesday night.
With only one draw to their name so far this season, Stony sit second from bottom of the table.
In Division 2, Old Bradwell continued their impressive start to the season with a 5-1 thrashing of Aston Clinton to sit fourth in the standings.
Just behind are New Bradwell St Peter, who dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Mursley United who are in 13th.
Wolverton were on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat to Hale Leys United, while Willen sit bottom of the pile after a 9-2 thumping by early pace-setters Totternhoe.
