A stoppage time goal from Derek Brown secured the first win of the season for Newport Pagnell against Wellingborough on Tuesday night.
The 1-0 win lifted the Swans to 16th in the United Counties League Premier Division, coming just three days after they shared a six goal thriller with Desborough on Saturday.
Newport dominated the first half at Willen Road, but could only take a 1-0 lead in at the break as Danny Nicholls hit the back of the net.
But Desborough fought back in the second half, firing in three unanswered goals.
The Swans picked themselves up and pushed forward and again started creating chances.
This paid off when Lee Jones neatly finished from the edge of the area placing the ball out of the reach of the stranded Desborough keeper.
The third goal came from a corner when Lukasz Filipiak headed the ball which seemed to bounce in slow motion past the Desborough defence and keeper into the goal for 3-3.
Olney Town buoyed their spirits with victories in two cup competitions.
On Saturday, they beat AFC Victoria 3-0 in the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup first round, before backing it up with a 4-0 win over Old Bradwell in the Buckingham Charity Cup first round.
Stony Stratford though were knocked out of the Buckingham Senior Charity Cup, losing 2-0 at home to Buckingham Town on Tuesday, after being beaten 3-1 to Oakley United Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup.
New Bradwell were also knocked out, losing 3-2 to Hale Leys United, Old Bradwell beat Willen 3-1 and Wolverton lost 2-1 to MK Wanderers.
