NEWPORT Pagnell Town get their FA Vase adventure under way on Saturday when they host Enfield 1893 at Willen Road.

The Swans enjoyed an excellent run in the competition last season, reaching the fourth round where they eventually lost at home to Ashington AFC in front of a record crowd of more than 600 in January.

Saturday’s second round tie against the Essex Senior League side comes a week after the Swans suffered a 4-2 home defeat to Yaxley in the United Counties League Cup first round.

Olney Town’s good run of form in UCL Division One came to an end when they lost 3-1 at home to Bugbrooke St Michaels.

In a run of home games, the Nurserymen had previously won three out of their last four in all competitions, but return to the road this Saturday when they travel to Pitstone & Ivinghoe in the Berks and Bucks Intermediate Cup third round.

Stony Stratford Town’s strong home form in the South Midlands League Division One continued with a 2-1 win over Crawley Green on Saturday. They then edged past Southall 4-2 on penalties after a 3-3 draw in their Division One Cup second round tie.

New Bradwell St Peter lost 3-2 at home to Wodson Park – stretching their winless run to 16 league matches as they remain bottom of the table.

In Division Two, Wolverton Town enjoyed a 3-1 away success at Totternhoe and Old Bradwell United went down 4-1 at Aston Clinton.

This Saturday sees Stony go to Penn & Tylers Green in the Intermediate Cup and Peters visit Bedgrove United, while Wolverton host Mursley United in Division Two and Old Bradwell go to Broxbourne Borough.
