If your team has ever suffered a poor run of form, then spare a thought for New Bradwell St Peter whose winless run now stands at 28 South Midlands League Division One games.
Rooted to the foot of the table for the majority of the season, Peters have earned just three draws from those 28 matches, while conceding 114 goals in the process.
Defeat number 25 came 4-1 away at Harpenden Town on Tuesday night – that following Saturday’s 6-0 home beating by Welwyn Garden City.
However, there have been some encouraging results to lift the mood at the Recreation Ground this season as Peters have enjoyed a fine run in the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup, winning through three rounds of the competition before losing to North Bucks League side Grendon Rangers.
Simon Jay’s men also had a Challenge Trophy first round win at Hatfield Town before bowing out at the next stage, and were knocked out of the Division One Cup in the first round by Kings Langley.
Stony Stratford Town ran SML Division One leaders Hoddesdon Town close on Tuesday night but lost 2-1, while Cranfield were beaten by Wodson Park by the same score.
Stony defeated Sun Postal Sports 2-1 on Saturday and Cranfield fell 4-0 to Southall.
In SML Division Two, Old Bradwell United enjoyed a 3-0 win over Risborough Rangers.
Newport Pagnell Town had a 2-0 United Counties League Premier Division home win against Shepshed Dynamo, while in Division One Olney Town saw off Burton Park 4-1.
