Make a splash this weekend, when Secklow Dragon Boat Club will hold an open afternoon at their new home on Caldecotte North Lake.
The group paddle dragon boats in teams of 20, very long and narrow canoe-style boats which grew out of China 2,000 years ago.
Secklow Hundred are one of the UK’s top crews, racing in the National League, Premier Division, with races up and down the country each year, as well as getting involved in other boating events, charity races and social events.
The open afternoon takes place on Saturday, August 9, from 2-4pm. The group train on Thursdays throughout summer at 6pm and every Sunday at 10am. If you miss the open day and want to come and try the first session is free, or contact via www.secklow.com
