Golfer JR Ellis beat players almost twice his age as he lifted the Junior Open at Dunstable Downs Golf Club.
The 11-year-old took the title in the under 14s and then won overall on count back in the under 18s.
JR is already a regular for Bedfordshire, but wants to improve over summer.
He said “ I am starting at Denbigh School in September so I may as well play as much golf as I can this summer.
“My short term goal is to drastically reduce my handicap from 16 to 12 before I start school again.
“My mid-term goal is to be in single figures by next year, and my long term goal is to obviously to turn professional.”
