Arabian's sensational start to year continues

Arabian Gymnastics were crowned Level 5 champions at the National Tulips event in Leicestershire.

The youngest team Level 5 came away as champions with Naomi Fedoriw (12) the stand out gymnast finishing overall first and the top gymnast.

Naomi won Bars outright and seventh on Vault kept her ahead of the field to be crowned champion and help her team win.

Team mate Alysha Howton(12) also won a gold for her stunning floor exercise and was impressive with eighth on bars sixth on beam.

The Level 3 team came second, with Lucy Thompson winning gold for her performance on the bars, and Ellie Hewitt also took top spot on the vault, with Poppy Gibbs winning silver. Kyla Howton won bronze on the beam.

The Level 4 also came second overall, with Molly Harris taking gold on the vault and bronze on the floor.

Arabian head coach Alan Armitage was is a reflective mood afterwards.

He said: “Its been a great start to the year as we have a small top squad and to win first, second and second with three teams on the back of 19 medals won in Hawaii in January, has to be seen as a quite sensational start to the year.”
