Orbit gymnasts are flying high

Orbit Trampoline team were on form at the Brentwood Open Trampoline.

In the U15 girls, Ella Preedy had an uncharacteristic wobble allowing Lucy Chambers to take fourth with Ella in fifth.

In the U13 girls, Lucy’s sister Sophie narrowly missed out on a medal in fourth, with Laila Carey in 10th.

Laura Kelly, in the under 11s, was 10th, and her compatriot Lauren Sinclair was 17th in one of the largest groups.

In the band 3 group, Imogen Wells and Katy Daniels scrapped it out for places, both narrowly missing gold and Imogen holding silver, giving Katy the bronze.

In the under 9s, Borte Jones fell victim to nerves and came down in the field for her, at 11th.

In another band of under 9s, Sophie Lewis was 10th and her team mate Libby-leigh Corby, who looked certain of a medal, stumbled at the finish of her last routine and came home in sixth.

Fraser McPherson flew the flag for the men and stunned his coach in taking his first gold in the under 13s.
