Italian's stock continues to rise
Di Matteo linked with move away from stadium:mk
Boss Roberto Di Matteo has been loosely linked to the Swansea and FC Basel jobs.
The Dons manager is thought to be on the shortlist to replace Christian Gross at Swiss Super League Club FC Basel according to media in Switzerland.
Former Spurs head coach Gross recently ended a highly successful 10-year spell at the club that saw him win the title eight times.
The club are apparently after a young and hungry manager and despite being of Italian descent, Di Matteo was born in the Swiss town of Schauffhausen and played for his home town club before moving to FC Zrich.
Further details of their interest are vague at this moment but the prospect of Europa League football might appeal to the Dons boss.
Meanwhile Di Matteo is apparently in the running for the vacant Swansea City post.
Media in Wales are linking the Dons boss to the job after Roberto Martinez departed for Premier League Wigan.
However, should the Italian be interested in the role he faces hot competition.
According to chairman Huw Jenkins the Swans have had over 100 applicants, with around 30 being taken seriously.
The likes of Gary Speed, Gus Poyet, Paul Tisdale and Dean Saunders are also thought to be in the running.
